Work Type Requests in HORILLA HRMS allow employees, reporting managers, and admins to request changes to their work types, such as “Work From Home,” for specific dates. Admins can review, edit, approve, or reject these requests through an organized table interface.
Workflows for Standard Users:

- Navigate to Work Type Request
By navigating to the Work Type Requests page, users can manage their requested work types and submit requests for new work types. - New Work Type Request
To request a new work type, click on the ‘CREATE’ button and fill out the form below by providing the necessary details

- Employee:
At the user level, the employee field always defaults to the logged-in user - Requesting Work Type:
The specific type of work or task an employee is requesting. - Requested Date:
The date the employee made the work type request. - Requested Till:
The date through which the employee is requesting the work type. - Description:
Additional details or explanation about the work type request. - Permanent request:
Refers to a worktype request that could evolve into a long-term arrangement. Enabling this option will conceal the “Requested Till” field.
- After submitting the request, it should be in ‘Requested’ status unless the admin approves or rejects it, in which case it should move to the ‘Approved’ or ‘Rejected’ stage.
- To update or delete the requested work types, click on the respective buttons for further actions. After the request is approved or rejected, the user will no longer be able to edit or delete it.
- The user also has the option to add comments and create duplicates.
Work Type Request from User’s Profile:
The user has the option to request and manage their requests from their profile view as well.

User Access and Permissions for Work Type Requests:
The standard user can view only their data. The admin has the option to provide permissions to users, allowing them to create and manage data for other users, as well as approve or reject requests.

Workflows for Reporting Manager Users:
If the user is a reporting manager, they have similar features, plus the ability to handle their subordinates’ requests.

- Here, the reporting manager can see all their subordinates’ requests as well as their own.
- They can approve or reject requests by clicking the approve and reject buttons, and also manage them by editing, deleting, duplicating, and adding comments.
Work Type Request from Employees Individual View:
The Reporting Manager has the option to manage their subordinates’ requests by navigating to Profile -> Employee Individual View -> Work Type & Shift tab

- Navigate to Employees -> Select Any Employee

- Then click on the Work shift tab on the employee profile page
- Here, the reporting manager has the option to keep track of the employees work type requests, can create, update work requests, and also approve or reject their requests.
