One of its standout features is the ability to create bulk feedback requests, making it easier than ever to initiate performance reviews for multiple employees simultaneously. Whether you’re preparing for annual appraisals or mid-year evaluations, bulk feedback in Horilla is your secret weapon for saving time while maintaining consistency.

This tutorial will walk you through the steps to create bulk feedback requests using Horilla.

Why Is Bulk Feedback Necessary?

Before diving into how to use it, it’s essential to understand why bulk feedback is important, particularly in growing or large-scale organizations.

1. Efficiency at Scale

Manually requesting feedback for dozens or hundreds of employees is not practical. Bulk feedback enables HR teams and managers to initiate reviews across entire departments or the entire organization within minutes.

2. Consistent Evaluation Standards

Using a bulk process ensures that every employee is evaluated with the same templates, timelines, and parameters, reducing biases and inconsistencies.

3. Synchronization with Review Cycles

Organizations often follow quarterly, bi-annual, or annual appraisal cycles. Bulk feedback ensures everyone is evaluated within the same window, aligning performance data across teams and departments.

4. Greater Participation and Fairness

Bulk feedback setups can include managers, peers, subordinates, and colleagues automatically. This creates a well-rounded evaluation by including diverse perspectives and increasing transparency in the review process.

5. Saves Time and Administrative Overhead

HR departments can avoid the repetitive task of assigning feedback one by one. This leads to better resource utilization and allows HR to focus more on strategic decisions rather than operational work.

1. Where to Find the Bulk Feedback Feature

Navigate to the Performance Module:

  • From the left sidebar, click on Performance.
  • Then select 360 Feedback from the sub-menu.

 Access the Bulk Feedback Option:

  • On the 360 Feedback page, click the “Actions” dropdown at the top-right.
  • Select “Bulk Feedback” from the dropdown options.

2. Fill in the Bulk Feedback Request Form

Once the Bulk Feedback pop-up appears, fill in the necessary fields:

Required Fields:

  • Title: Give a meaningful name to the feedback session (e.g., “Mid-Year Review 2025”).
  • Employees: Select one or more employees for whom the feedback will be collected.
  • Status: Choose the initial status (e.g., Not Started).
  • Question Template: Select the feedback question set.
  • Period: Define the performance period.
  • Start Date & End Date: Specify the timeframe for completing the feedback.

Optional Filters & Toggles:

Other Employees: Add specific people to review beyond the default.

Include manager / subordinates / colleagues / key results: Toggle as needed depending on the feedback scope.

Is Cyclic Feedback: Enable this if the feedback should recur over time.

These toggles allow you to collect feedback from relevant stakeholders in the employee’s work circle, enhancing the fairness and accuracy of the evaluation.

3. Submit the Request

After filling out the form:

Click the Save button.

Horilla will automatically create the feedback entries for all selected employees, assigning the chosen reviewers and deadlines.

Benefits of Bulk Feedback in Horilla

  • Scalable: Easily initiate feedback for multiple employees in one go.
  • Time-saving: No need to create individual entries.
  • Consistent: Uniform feedback criteria and timelines across teams.

Whether you’re preparing for performance appraisals, leadership reviews, or peer assessments, the Bulk Feedback feature in Horilla makes the process streamlined and efficient. This feature ensures that every employee receives a 360-degree evaluation in a timely, structured manner without administrative hassle.
