How Quick Filter in List View Transforms Data Filtering in Horilla CRM
In a growing CRM system, data increases every single day. Leads are added, opportunities are updated, activities are logged, and new records keep flowing in. For sales teams, managers, and administrators, quickly finding the right data becomes critical. Very often, users need to filter records based on specific conditions such as Lead Source, Assigned User, Industry, Lead Stage, or Active Status.
However, repeatedly opening advanced filters, selecting fields, applying conditions, and running the filter again can slow down daily operations. When this task has to be carried out many times throughout the day, it can significantly reduce overall productivity.
To solve this challenge, Horilla CRM introduces the Quick Filter feature in List View.
Quick Filter allows you to add commonly used fields directly to your List View as instant dropdown filters. Instead of opening the advanced filter panel every time, you can filter records in just one click, making data access smarter and significantly faster.
Open List View and Access Actions
In the List View, click on the Settings(actions) icon at the top right corner.
Then select:
Add Quick Filter
This allows you to choose fields that you want to use as instant filters.

Select Fields for Quick Filter
In the Add Quick Filter pop-up:
- Choose the fields you would like to include for quick filtering.
- You can select multiple fields.
- Supported field types include:
- Choice fields (e.g., Lead Source, Industry)
- Foreign Key fields (e.g: Lead Stage)
- Boolean fields (e.g., Active)
After selecting the required fields, click Save.

Quick Filters Appear in List View
Once saved, the selected fields appear as dropdown filters directly below the view header.
Example shown:
- Lead Source: Website
- Lead Stage: All
Now you can:
- Change values instantly
- Filter records without opening the advanced filter panel
- Combine multiple quick filters
- Modify selections dynamically

Each selection immediately updates the list results. You don’t have to refresh the page manually or set up complicated conditions again. This makes filtering extremely smooth and user-friendly.
Remove a Quick Filter
If a quick filter is no longer required:
- Select the “X” icon beside the filter to remove it.

- A confirmation pop-up appears.

- Click Confirm to remove it.

This keeps your List View clean and relevant to your workflow.
Why Use Quick Filter?
Quick Filter is especially useful when:
- You frequently filter by the same fields
- Sales teams want instant segmentation (e.g., Website leads only)
- Managers need quick insights without opening detailed filters.
- You want faster navigation in large datasets.
Instead of repeating the same filtering steps, just select from the dropdown, simple and efficient.
